Take a look at the ingredients on your tube of toothpaste, what do you see? Can you pronounce the ingredients, much less know what they are? Most are chemicals such as fluoride, it’s in our water, dentists give fluoride treatments to their patients, so it must be safe, right? WRONG! Fluoride is a potent neurotoxin that has been linked to Alzheimer’s and Dementia, a Harvard study recently linked fluoride to lowered IQ in children, while additional research has associated it with weakened bones, thyroid suppression, lowered metabolic function and dementia. Not something I want in my mouth! Glycerin is another ingredient you will see on that tube of toothpaste. Glycerin is used in almost all toothpastes because it helps create a pasty texture and prevents it from drying out. Though it is non-toxic, glycerin is bad! Why? Because it coats the teeth and gums in a way that prevents normal tooth mineralization, this coating or film lasts for 5 days…if you brush twice a day, virtually forever! Just as an egg shell is porous and bones are porous, our teeth ARE POROUS, they need MINERALS & VITAMINS to survive a lifetime! Mineralization is the process that allows vitamins and minerals, calcium, magnesium, vitamin C, D, A, the whole alphabet soup of vitamins and minerals to enter and strengthen your teeth and enamel… We want & need strong and healthy teeth and gums! Though most of us were raised to believe that minerals cannot be returned to the structure of the tooth itself, let me assure you just as our bones need vitamins and minerals to stay strong, so do our teeth!

Hopefully I have convinced you to toss the tube in the trash, now let’s talk about what Swift Naturals DIRT will do for your smile!

DIRT has several ingredients, all well thought out and beneficial to a clean and healthy mouth, we’ll go through the main ingredients.

Bentonite Clay- Bentonite clay is a gentle cleanser that is rich in minerals which support tooth remineralization. It’s detoxifying properties removes toxins from the mouth, it also freshens breath and fight gum disease, while it’s adsorptive properties help remove stains and toxins from teeth and actually your whole mouth. Bentonite is a swelling clay. When it becomes mixed with water it rapidly swells open like a highly porous sponge. From here the toxins are drawn into the sponge through electrical attraction and once there, they are bound into a cage like molecule until you get rid of it by spitting!

Baking Soda- Baking soda is a mild abrasive tooth polish that helps mechanically remove stains while other ingredients such as clay and activated charcoal draw them out. It also helps freshen breath.

Activated Charcoal- also called activated carbon, is made by processing charcoal with oxygen and either calcium chloride or zinc chloride. It was used medicinally by both Hippocrates and the ancient Egyptians, and it is still the poison remedy of choice in modern day emergency rooms. Why? Because it’s highly adsorptive, which in plain English means it attracts toxins and heavy metals to its surface like a magnet. Like absorptive substances which work like a sponge, adsorptive materials bind with certain compounds and prevent our bodies from using them.

Diatomaceous Earth- Food grade diatomaceous earth (DE) is a gentle abrasive that's also highly absorbent. DE is almost entirely made of silica, an important component of human ligaments, teeth & bone, cartilage, and musculature.

Calcium Carbonate – Provides extra Calcium to teeth to increase tooth remineralization Herbs- Alfalfa Herb provides the alphabet soup of vitamins and minerals plus Chloraphyll, Camu-Camu provides vitamin C, Clove Powder Herb, helps with hot and cold tooth sensitivity.

OPti-MSM- MSM is an abbreviation for methyl-sulfonyl-methane, which is a organic sulfur compound. MSM considerably increases the permeability of your cells which means that it increases cells capability of flushing out excess fluids and toxins. This mechanism has a very important detoxifying effect, making way for essential nutrients to be absorbed into your system and thereby improving the overall functioning of your cell membranes. In plain English, MSM opens up the cell walls in your mouth to release toxins and to absorb the nutrients, vitamins and minerals that are in DIRT!

Using DIRT is easy, just wet your toothbrush, shake off the excess water and dip your toothbrush into the jar and brush your teeth and tongue, do not spit yet… wet your toothbrush again and brush for another 30 seconds, spit and rinse your mouth well also rinse the sink well… Using Dirt twice a day will leave your teeth cleaner, fresher, & whiter! One word of caution, never use any metal or dip any metal into the jar, it will render the Bentonite clay inactive and unable to do its job of removing toxins from your mouth.
